Ssalongo Kayongo John Baptist

Ssalongo Kayongo John Baptist a senior change agent applause the SRPD methodology. Ssalongo Kayongo John Baptist (59) lives in Kagamba Parish, Kagamba Sub County, Rakai District in South Central Uganda. He is a male trained Change Agent. He was trained with the Change Agent Methodology in 1996 by UCAA. Before Ssalongo was trained, he affirms that he used not to plan for his work and activities. The Change Agent Training enlightened him with great knowledge and skills. “I became brighter than ever before, I learnt to plan for the money I earn and record keeping of all my businesses. I also learnt much about keeping time and stopped wasting time ever since I was trained” Ssalongo recited.

Ssalongo is a leader of catechist for over 800 people in Masaka diocese. He is also a general secretary of the same diocese. He was as well selected to always check the books of accounts of Buyambii Catholic parish. From his hard work after the change agent training, Ssalongo now has 3 acres of banana plantation, 200 coffee trees and owns easy transport. He was also trained and he is a trainer of trainers in counseling and Guidance. “I’m happy because my life improved. I have been able to educate all my children and so far three of my sons have graduated with diplomas” Ssalongo said. Ssalongo was as well chosen to work with an NGO, Masaka Diocese Development Organization (MADDO) and he is the secretary on the Board of Directors
