The Fruits Opolot Acquired From Joining Uganda Change Agent Association.

Opolot Phillip is a male aged 55 years from Pallisa district, Eastern Region, Akisim Sub County in Akisim parish. He was trained with the Change Agent methodology in 1994. Phillip was born in 1963, he attended primary school from 1971 to 1977, secondary school from 1978 to 1981. He also attained a certificate in SWASA in Nsamizi Training Institute where he was from 1983 to 1985. He was awarded a diploma from 1987 to 1989 thereafter, he volunteered with Uganda Red Cross from 1990 to 1992. He also worked with World Vision from 1992 to 1993.

Phillip received the following capacity building / trainings from UCAA as follows; 1994 CAT/KUM/01/1994, 1995 TOT, 1996 Attended Auditor’s training ,1996 Trained PLS/CAT/01/1996, 1998 UCAA BOD member Vice secretary ,1999 UCAA BOD member Vice treasurer, 2003 UCAA BOD member Treasurer.

Phillip is a parent of 10 children. He appreciates the knowledge he acquired from UCAA. He has been able to have 6 of his children graduate as well as meeting basic needs and providing for his family. Besides UCAA, Phillip has worked with Action Aid Pallisa and has also been a life member of Red Cross which has greatly influenced his life too. Phillip greatly appreciates UCAA for what he has become as he says; “it has made me who I am, economically stable.” Phillip has been able to serve as a district Chairperson of one of the existing political parties and also served as a district counselor for one term and is now the party mobilizer for Bukedi Sub-region. “BRAVO UCAA” He mentioned.
