Human Rights, Sexual reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and ending violence against women and girls (VAWG)
Human rights are fundamental rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of nationality, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, language, or any other status. They are universal, inalienable, indivisible, interdependent, and interrelated. These rights govern how individuals live in society and with each other, as well as their relationship with the state.
Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) encompass the ability of individuals to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive lives, including access to related healthcare services, without coercion, discrimination, or violence. It's a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being in all matters relating to the reproductive system and its functions. This includes access to contraception, safe pregnancy and childbirth care, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and information and services related to sexuality and reproduction.
Violence against women and girls is any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women and girls, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or private life
