EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
It is with great pleasure that I share this message so that you can appreciate the very purpose of our existence as Uganda Change Agent Association (UCAA).
On behalf of the Board, staff and Change Agent members, I’m pleased to welcome you to Uganda Change Agent Association (UCAA) website.
We are proud to be one of the many non-governmental organizations operating in Uganda today, especially with respect to positively transforming the lives of rural community members in Uganda so that they can live a gainful life characterized by hard work, harmony and dignity.
UCAA empowers the vulnerable and marginalized community to analyze their situations and struggle to find solutions to the problems through the process of conscious awareness, reflection, analysis and provision of effective remedies.
More important, UCAA fully recognizes the need to align her actions to Uganda’s Vision 2040 and other guiding national and global development policy guidelines.
Over the years, UCAA has implemented crucial programmes and projects and all have been successful. Since 1992, UCAA has registered a greater impact to a big number of vulnerable women, children, youth, men and households within the communities we work with all over Uganda and this has contributed to the development of the country through improved livelihoods.
UCAA membership continued to grow as more change Agents graduated and as more development partners appreciated the work of UCAA. In addition, UCAA funding partners continued to show confidence and trust in the work of UCAA through their generous financial contributions.
Despite the challenges that we encounter, our achievements are always well written on the wall due to the talented and dedicated staff, the unwavering support from the Board of Directors, partners and other stakeholders right from the local and national government levels, CSOs, donors and line ministries .
Together we have proven that with collaborative working while harnessing the power of collective action, we can overcome even the most daunting challenges and achieve the UCAA aspirations.
