Introduction

Uganda Change Agent Association (UCAA) by its nature is both a grassroots membership and a service pro-vision national organisation. It was established in 1992 and registered as an NGO on 11th October 1993, and has been renewed regularly as required by the law. The Association is also registered as a non-profit limited liability company under the Uganda Companies Act.

It has over 4,000 members (Trained Change Agents) organised in 230 branches country wide. Since then, UCAA has been funded by a number of donors and has implemented a number of projects which some phased out. At the moment, UCAA is implementing over five projects including; Women Empowerment project, Children at Risk Project, Conflict Transformation Project, Self Help Group Approach and the Disaster Risk Reduction Project with European Union.
